Pamphlets on cleanliness and swachhta were distributed in Harijan Basti, residential colony and commercial complex around DGGI office complex in R. K. Puram New Delhi. The local people were contacted personally by the officers of the DGGI (Hqrs.) and were informed about the uses of swachhta and hygeing on their health.
A Nukkad- natak titled ‘Ek Kadam Swachhta Ki Aur’ to sent a strong message to the local masses for awareness regarding cleanliness, tree plantation, and minimize use of polythene was organized by DGGI, Hqrs.
The officers and the staff members of the DGGI observe a car free /car pool day.
SDMC Primary School C.R. Park was selected and shramdan was done by the officers and staff of DGGI (Hqrs.). Some cleaning articles viz. broom, face mask, gloves, lizol etc. were also donated to the school.
Pantry area of the DGGI (Hqrs.) was cleaned and a chimney and renovation work is proposed to be done under SAP 2018-19.
Plantation was done by the officers and staff of the DGGI (Hqrs.) in SDMC Primary School, C.R. Park New Delhi.
All the records were Segregated , weeding out and Digitization of old records was done by the officers of the staff of DGGI office. Disposal of old records was also carried out during this process.
SDMC Primary School, C.R. Park, New Delhi was adopted by the DGGI (Hqrs.) office. During this initiative a drawing competition on Swachhta was held among the children of Class 4th and 5th standard. The best three drawaings were awarded trophies by the office. The competitors of drawing competition were distributed Stationery items to competitor of drawing competition.
To create a social buzz various newspapers were informed about the activities conducted during swachhta Pakhwada.
A Nukkadh Natika was held to educate the children regarding harmful impact of polythene on environment.
