Presidential Awardees
Since the introduction of the scheme in 1962, 1142 officers have been awarded Presidential Certificates of Appreciation till the year 2020. 73 Presidential Certificates of Appreciation have been awarded for Exceptionally Meritorious Service at the Risk of Life and 1069 for Specially Distinguished Record of Service.

Gupta and other senior officers, inaugurated the shifting of DGGI to the new premises at Dwarka. The building has state-of-the-art facilities and is slated to significantly bolster efficiency of DGGI and its mission to effectively combat tax evasion.

The new building of DGGI has five storied state-of-the-art facilities comprising a modern forensic lab, cafeteria and spacious conference room apart from other basic amenities. These facilities will not only enhance the effectiveness of DGGI but will also ensure a pleasant interface with the taxpayers.
